…remembering that the truly wicked don’t ever question themselves or hang their heads in shame. They’re deepest pathology is to trick society into thinking they are decent people and they do it without questioning such things.

Guilt is still useful. But, in my opinion, people are supposed to experience it, have it guide or redeem their actions, and then let it go. It’s not healthy to ruminate or be consumed by it.
