This is what happens when you let all the frauds and phonies trick you into thinking that you are one yourself:
all law springs from lawlessness
all order springs from discontent
it’s a double hook
and there’s a policeman in my head
paid from the rich man’s pocket
to keep the poor man’s politicsfrom spilling over the dam
And this is what happens when you start believing in yourself again: …
…remembering that the truly wicked don’t ever question themselves or hang their heads in shame. They’re deepest pathology is to trick society into thinking they are decent people and they do it without questioning such things.
Guilt is still useful. But, in my opinion, people are supposed to experience it, have it guide or redeem their actions, and then let it go. It’s not healthy to ruminate or be consumed by it.
