Ideally, there would be direct democracy for urban centres existing side-by-side with self-directed spiritual communes in the countryside (with roughly ten thousand people per commune.)
The urban centres would utilize high-efficiency capitalism where VERY limited inequality maintains competition rather than any poverty. In order to maintain this inequality, extra output could just be given to the communes rather than destroyed through war.
They despise the concept of “white guilt,” but never to the point that they’ll stop committing the crimes.
(Clarification: When I say “white guilt,” I’m not referring to an inherent feeling of shame associated with being born white. All I’m referring to is a sense of shame associated with the behaviour of the collective group representing an individual.
“Albertan guilt” would be the lack of pride or sense of embarrassment one feels when seeing the destruction of the environment carried out by those comprising one’s affiliated province. It’s not referring to some inherent sense of guilt or shame associated with being an Albertan.
The above quote holds true for either definition, in my opinion.
And it is interesting to compare the historic embrace of inherent duty captured in the concept of “the White man’s burden” to the rejection of the idea of inherent guilt that is being propagated by who even knows…)
